Tynset Hospital Fødestua: Model of Medical & Caring Excellence
The Tynset Fødestua was never compromised. In fact, the Cesarean section surgical team who delivered Laila's baby at St Olavs Hospital and the Tynset Hospital Fødestua are two groups of medical professionals, in two very different medical environments, which were never compromised by confirmation bias or doublethink. The Tynset Fødestua was a truly wonderful, harmonious, caring respite for Laila to be treated for her postpartum preeclampsia and Cesarean section complications while, simultaneously, getting to know and care for her baby. If Ministry of Health & Care Services and Directorate of Health want to learn something about that which is truly outstanding in Norway's national healthcare system (i.e., after doing the right things, first) they should visit the Tynset Fødestua. And, to fully appreciate what makes the Tynset Fødestua an outstanding experience for patients and their families, they should study the people there, such as Bjørg and Tone, for their superlative efforts & results with respect to: medical professionalism, proactive listening, information sharing, interpersonal communication skills, caring-while-diligent work ethic and overall uplifting attitudes. It is the people, such as Bjørg and Tone, who make the Tynset Fødestua what it is: a model of medical & caring excellence.
